PART 5: Greetings card for children with leukemia: Colour
Hi,
'Bout time for another blog on my progress with the paintin'. The pace slowed down a bit, Christmas got in the way!
Anyway, Here's a few photos charting my progress:
1: Firstly I applied the gold inlay between the Celtc knotworks. Kidiki is no help at all!
2: Then I started to apply the colours by dropping the paint into the areas defined by the outliner.
Slowly things started to come together.....
I think Marchella's faerie designs have suffered a bit in my rushed translation (sorry Marchella). I feel like I have taken away their characters a bit. So I've a bit of work to do yet to tweak their facial expressions back to the way they actually are.....
So here it is so far.
The next step is to apply the varnish which makes the colours a lot more lush and full. Then I'll photogaraph it and fix it up digitally.
